At Simply Fido, being a leader goes well beyond a commitment to
offering safe and chemical free products for your pets. It also means
protecting the health and safety of employees, and safeguarding the
environments where we do business. At Simply Fido they have a special
responsibility to protect our environment for future generations.
It’s All in the Ingredients!
The PureWaterWash™ process
is the secret to creating Simply Fido's charming colors. Untreated cotton thread
is woven into gently flowing fabric and brightened with nature’s own
plants and minerals. The fabric is then hand dyed repeatedly in
soy-water to set the color. As a result, each Simply Fido toy has its
own unique appearance and color variance.
What is Organic? From the USDA... “What is organic product? Organic product is produced by farmers who
emphasize the use of renewable resources and the conservation of soil
and water to enhance environmental quality for future generations.
Organic meat, poultry, eggs, and dairy products come from animals that
are given no antibiotics or growth hormones. Organic crops are grown
without using most conventional pesticides; fertilizers made with
synthetic ingredients or sewage sludge; bioengineering; or ionizing
radiation.
Before a product can be labeled ‘organic,’ a
Government-approved certifier inspects the farm where the food is grown
to make sure the farmer is following all the rules necessary to meet
USDA organic standards. Companies that handle or process organic
products before it gets to your local supermarket or restaurant must be
certified, too.”
Why Organic?
Go ahead and do your part - your planet will thank you...Going organic
helps to keep chemicals out of the air, water, soil, and most
importantly - our bodies.
One third of the world’s pesticides are used on cotton crops alone.
These chemicals are absorbed into the cotton plant, the air, the soil,
the water and eventually, our bodies. These harmful toxins also make
their way back into our food chain - the cotton seeds are used to feed
the cattle we get our milk and beef from, and also used to make cotton
seed oil, a cornerstone of the processed foods most families eat every
day; and it's just not bad for the planet; 20,000 deaths occur each year
from pesticide poisoning in developing countries, many of these from
cotton farming, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).
Recycling Commitment From start to finish - Simply Fido is committed to safeguarding the
environment by acting in a socially responsible manner.
